Common Warts

Common Warts

Common warts are non-cancerous benign skin growths that are commonly found on the hands and fingers. Warts are contagious and can be spread by contact. This makes them extremely embarrassing and aggravating.

Common symptoms of common warts include:

  • located on fingers, around the nails, and on the back of hands
  • often appear in areas of skin trauma
  • feel like rough bumps, sometimes shaped like cauliflower with central black dots
  • Warts are thought to be caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV).
