Alopecia Areata Study (84 Weeks)


Treatment: Oral Age: 12 Years


Who Can Participate?
Adolescents aged between 12 to <18 years

Inclusion Criteria
• weigh at least 37 kg
• definitive diagnosis of alopecia areata with a current episode of scalp hair loss lasting at least 6 months and not exceeding 10 years
• at least 50% scalp hair loss, as defined by a SALT score ≥50
• documented evidence of having received 2 doses of varicella vaccination or documented proof of immunity due to natural infection

Participant Information
• Participate and receive study treatment at no cost
• Regular visits with study doctors who specialise in treating alopecia areata (10 visits)
• Will receive an investigative oral treatment (study drug) or placebo
• Reimbursement for study-related expenses may be provided
